I've been making block prints since before art school, and along with that I have a love for anatomy, bones and organs alike. I've done prints of skeletons before and decided that for Valentines Day I should create the image of a heart.

Block Printing Process

For those who don't know the process of block printing is fairly simple yet complex. You create the image on the block in reverse and then carve the block so that only what you want printed is left. You then ink the block and press it into the paper or whatever material you are printing on.
