About The Design

This design began life as a simple illustration of an old fashioned, one of my favorite cocktails. A few weeks later it was National Margarita Day so I created an illustration of one. From there it kind of took on a life of its own and I added the other two drinks. Cheers.

Illustration Process

Each drink started as a sketch, getting the proper glass and garnishes. Once I took them into illustrator the hardest part of each was to figure out the proper colors and opacity for the glasses and various liquids. I also wanted each to be similarly sized so I had to figure a scale that both looked correct and worked for the print size of 8x10.
